Euro Union Joins International Peacekeeping Force

ZAMBOANGA CITY – THE powerful European block has joined international peacekeeping forces to help monitor and prevent the eruption of any new armed hostilities between the government and Moro rebels.

In a press statement, the European Union (EU) said they have formally accepted the invitation of the Philippine government and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) to be part of the International Monitoring Team in a statement made on May 19.
